Every day or two I pull a spider web down that has been built in my sons' playhouse, and in a day or two it is back again, always in the same place. How can I stop this from happening? I would like something safe for the kids to be around.

It is right infront of their slide out, so if I need to remove it so they can go down the slide.

I have to agree with JOHN, and perhaps defining the TYPE would help. Beyond that I GET IT that many are fearful of spiders, but so often with no real rationale.

With all due respect ARE you're talking about an environment you created in THEIR SPACE, IE: Outdoors? Your efforts certainly can kill them, but ya can't get em all.

Knowing the TYPE might lessen your fears. In my world they are benefactors, reducing the population of so many other; far more harmful insects. Perhaps you might ask your son if he has FEAR? Certainly there are Spiders toxic to humans, and they might be dependant of your particular location, such as Brown Recluse or Black Widow; but please believe that for the most part, they are not ATTACK creatures.

This will probably cause you to think me "certifiable" but long ago I accidently walked on a Spider in my home. I regreted doing so immediately, but too late. From under my boot hundreds of babies scrambled from their dying mothers back. That species is no more fond of us, than we are of them.

via fact this is for sure the area the place all the little bugs collect. I guess in case you used the side or back door for a pair days and then appeared, you will see all the caught bugs interior the information superhighway. apparently the spider exhibits the prey to be properly surely worth the attempt.

Unless it is a black widow web, leave it be! the spider will catch and eat mosquitoes, and other undesirable bugs, and the kids can watch it eat bugs. Way too much fun!

Black widow webs are more "random," in design, if it has a typical spider web pattern, it is fine.

My daughter (who loves any creepy crawly!) has kept spiders in little cardboard boxes from time to time. She lets them spin the webs and runs around finding bugs for them to eat.

If Garfield can kill a spider so can you. That's the only way. You have to get rid of the source.

Spiders don't like the smell of dried, hot, chilis.

Maybe you can find the spider and relocate it to another spot in your yard.
