s^3 = 500
s = cuberoot (500)
s = cuberoot (125*4)
s= 5cuberoot(4) = approximately 7.937

If the volume of a cube is

v = sÂ³ = 500

then you solve it by taking the cube root of both sides:

s = 7.93700 (approximately)

Rounding this off to 3 decimal places gives you

s = 7.937 cm
