Of course, "cool" is a personal perception, so truly if there is a reason these names come up for you, personal opinon is best. But, as for me,
Françoise...now that's just a wicked cool name! Its also very original.
Cameron is also an awesome name...
As is Pierre...
I think because of the Harry Potter juggernaut, many more people will be giving their kids the names James, Lily (Harry, Hermione, Ginny, Severus, etc.). I actually think Lily is a really cute name, though.
Audry...hmmm, when it's spelled AUDREY I like it, but the way you have it I think of AUDIT and I cringe...
Shirley...(Image of an annoying 30s child star with curly hair comes into my mind, singing an annoying song and dancing)...shudder.
Luke...Quite common. You just know that if a Star Wars junkie actually manages to have a kid with a real live woman, he'll name his kid Luke (or Anakin or Obi Wan). It's not too bad, but still...
Again, personal preference is everything. If someone has a relative with one of those names, they may think something completely different than you or I.
