Marrying in New Zealand does not automatically give u citizenship. U can apply for permanent residence (PR) on humanitarian grounds though, and once u've had PR for two or more years then u can apply for citizenship. U do realise that if u become a NZ citizen u will lose ur US citizenship?

The best way to gain NZ residence is to arrive in a leaky boat as a refugee. You'll get a benefit and even a house. If you're a qualified doctor from Spain, you'll probably get turned away.

hummmmm, there are sooo many of you, and few of us.
Find girl, get married, apply for Permanent Residence, Now here is the trick, ESTABLISH the relationship!!!!!, immigration likes to screw folks over on this one. That means, get joint bank accounts, save money together, get house under both names, join a club together. 2years after the wedding, you both will be interviewed separately. You should know each other by then, if you fail the interview, your PR is declined, and 6mths to get out but you can get it reviewed.
