yes i think it is a nice colour because it means as the boy grows older you won't have to re paint the room. It is also much better then blue, i know with my son (6months old) I am so over the colour blue because when he was born everything was blue.

It's very neutral, perhaps better for a living area than you baby's bedroom.
Why not try a sunny yellow, green or blue .. you can get some great neutral tones in those colours that wouldn't be overwhelming and that you're baby will really grow into.
My daughter's room is yellow with white trim, I have a beige area rug and her furniture is dark, it looks nice and I can add more colour with the curtains, comforter etc ... but then you can really dress up beige as well ... I think it would be fine as long as the accessories aren't beige as well ;)

Me personally, I don't like beige for a babies room.

Have you tried painting a virtual room on dulux trade site? I tried it when I was painting my newly furnished kitchen and couldn't find a colour in the sample pots I liked. I found this really helpful and you can see what your room is more or less going to look like.

Good luck and I hope you find a colour that suits your baby boys room.

Beige can be boring, so if you go with that color, you need to have a plan to make it more interesting. We'd have to know more details to give you the best advice. With the information I have, I think you'd need to use the woodwork(stained or painted) to liven it up, or put in chair rail and paint the bottom half a different color, or use really fun bedding, etc. Basically, if you're going to use beige, make the room interesting in another aspect. Good luck!

I think so! The actual walls don't have to be the "focal point", ya know? They are just the background. What you put ON them and in the room can create just the feeling you want. That way, when you can change the room theme without repainting. Sure, beige CAN be boring if you put boring stuff in the room, but it can also be classic, soothing, creamy and soft.

Yes, I think it is beautiful. It will depend on how you decorate the rest of the room but it is just fine.
Curtains, of a slightly darker beige would look nice.
It is a much more soothing colour than bright blue or bright pink.

It does work well with most colours and thats what I did with my sons room we had 3 walls in beige and the 4th and longest we went to our local DIY store and they had a beautiful but expensive wallpaper which was a woodland scene with rabbits and other animals dressed up in clothes on, we covered that wall with this and the room adapted and grew with him with just the occassional change of that wall.
It had murals of Winnie the Pooh on at one stage and football wallpaper at another.

Beige is not a bad colour but I would dress it up with coloured accessories and curtains.

Its a good choice, very calming and will blend well with most other colours so you can pick out the woodwork in any colour you like!

Our son's room is painted lemon yellow because thats a nice neutral sort of colour and also quite bright and cheerful. The woodwork is a nice bright shade of blue. I wanted it to look warm and cheerful!

Yes. I have a baby boy otw - and I have the room beige. It goes very nice with classic teddy bears, zoo animals or the winnie the pooh thing if you are into that. I bought pictures of baby animals to hang... giraffes, bear cubs, puppies, etc.
