I live in South Texas on the coast. My mother-in-law took this picture, so I'm not sure how big the froggie was. Any ideas?

This is almost certainly a squirrel treefrog (Hyla squirella). These are actually quite abundant in coastal Texas.

it is what is known as a tree frog . we have them in florida too . good luck .
