I am beginning to think that Republicans are single-issue voters... that issue being a gay holocaust (think V for Vendetta).

It seems like Republicans are rabidly against their only candidate who doesn't really mind gay people...

yes, even when it comes to elections and interviews with politians they are 'unsure' about matters except gay rights- and then they are firmly against them

I read a na article by a fairly moderate guy. he wrote about the Rev. Phelps (godhatesfags.com) and explained that while he is vile beyond all reason even moderate anti-gay people are similair to him. they want to disrupt the lives of people who aren't bothering anyone, who are just trying to live in peace.

The reasons the Democrats are in power in Congress is not because of any overwhelming campaign issue, which, if they did have they did not keep their word. It's because the Republicans do not like big taxes, big Government, and big spending. That's what got the G.O.P. handed a defeat. It wasn't those that voted for the Dems, it was the ones that did not vote for Republicans.. The Iraqi war was less of an issue for the Republicans than was the big spending. It is not a single issue like the Dem. candidates have now. The only issue the Dems have is Bush hating. I have not heard any Earth shattering issues come from any of the Dems. If past experience tells us anything about them they will say what they think the voter polls want them to say and not do anything promised.

I'm a Republican and I could care less who's gay and who's not gay.

You see, what you are getting at is also a matter of interpretation. If you are alluding to Gay Marraige, you are forgetting that most of those who oppose gay marriage do so on a religious basis. To me, marriage is a religious function, not a civic function. Your State Marriage License is secondary to the oathes you take before God. Christianity does teach that homosexuality is a sin and I therefore can not accept gay marriage.

HOWEVER!!!! Allow me elaborate before you pass judgement.

While my religion teaches me that homosexuality is a sin, it also teaches me love, tolerance, acceptance and to be non-judgemental. I AM A SINNER! The same as everyone else. I am in no place to judge ANYONE for their sins, whatever those sins may be. I drink, I used to smoke, I have taken the Lord's name in vain and I have had premarital sex. These are just off the top of my head. Again, I am in no place to judge anyone for being homosexual or to call it SOCIALLY unacceptable or despicable or disgusting. They live with their sins as I live with mine.

Therefore I support civil unions. Gay couples should recieve the same rights and privilages that straight couples receive. They should be bound by the same civic duties and obligations and should enjoy the same benefits. To say otherwise goes against logic AND the American way of life. Every Man Is Created Equal. We can not get away from that simple fact. Civil unions can also be for any couple who may not be religious and therefore do not want to get "married".

I'm not anti-gay. And that fact that you have to bring in a movie, shows me how you deal with reality. Now,read this.
Why is Bill Richardson still a candidate.

Most Uncomfortable Moment: Capehart grilled Richardson for using the Spanish word for the anti-gay epithet “fa**ot” on the Don Imus radio show in March 2006, then Etheridge asked Richardson pointedly if he believes being gay is a personal choice or an inherent biological trait.

When it comes to issues the GOP seeks to avoid the real issues of the day. For years in 50's-80's they preached the fear of communism to throw fear in to Americans.

Now with the fall of communism they take the gay agenda and gay marriage issues and avoid issues like, the failed war, a trillion dollar national debt, to protect environment, health care, energy cost and even oppose minimum wage. They are one issue party playing on fears.

Not at all. Guiliani is not for conservatives for a lot of reasons.

1. He has been divorced twice.
2. He is pro abortion
3. He actively harbored illegals in NYC when mayor.
4. He does not support the Fair Tax or a flat income tax.
