I kind of think its ugly, they should go back to the body styling from last year.

Swoopy rounded and sleek. No more angles and all other manufactures will follow. Or go the other way Pablo Picasso like boxes and straight lines. So what is the real problem you are just not used to the current style?

i like the new c- class, and the current e- class, clk, but that's about it. my favorite mercs were the 1980s models like the w124(300e) the w126 (560sec/560sel) and the r107 (560sl/450sl) and i liked the face lifted w210 (2001 e320/e430) and the w202 c-class (c220) and the 2002 Mercedes line, but that's about it. when it comes to the 2008 models the only one i like is the c,e,clk. the s-class is to plain along the side. however i don't like the inside of the c class. its not very Mercedes like. all the buttons have been moved (such as the hazard button, lock button, headrest button, and heated seats buttons) so yeah, i also don't like the headrest in the back of the c class, basically the new styling is OK but i like the 1989 and 2001 Mercedes the best.

i am sure to be blasted for this but mercedes style had presence not any more they look like jap wannabe's without the reliability or functionality of lexus and are very time consuming to repair in comparison and they break more often

Ugly yes.
But I always did like the 50's styling.
Who am I kidding, MB's has had only a few good looking cars, The gull wing was the only one I know of that was great.

Matter of taste.
I like Mercedes from 1980s, but, as I said, it's a matter of taste.

I have not liked any after they did away with the 126 chassis.They are all as small as Hondas.Keep my 300SD.
