I was thinking of living on a lake but then someone called me a redneck. So now I am back to square one.

Hi cheeseball, isn't riverside and moreno valley filled with crime? I know someone that lives in a 800,000 home in Corona and he personally has had his cars robbed and garage and so has many people in the neighborhood. So they also want to move , any how I would buy in these areas you suggest but are you sure it is safe?

The prices of houses are dropping rapidly. I live in Riverside County and there are hundreds of houses that have been on the market forever. They keep dropping the prices lower and lower hoping people will start buying like crazy like they did a few years ago. My suggestion would be to wait for the prices to drop evejn more (like everyone is anticipating they will), and then start looking around. You will probably find something you like later on because it doesn't cost as much as it does now.

Look up MRMLS in google. It is a property search with a lot of information on houses.

California housing prices are still very high although they have dropped considerably in some areas, so living on a lake, $300K might or might not buy a shack, wouldn't buy a nice home on a lake.
