I'm 6''1 230 pounds...but i dont know anything about football should i play? how long will it take to learn?

Yes you should play, starting learning the basics. As far how long it will take, it depends how good your coach is and fast you pick up on things

it doesnt take long to learn and a big kid like u will dominate
its a lot of fun and at ur siza ull definately get playing time
