Any kind of relationships - lovers or friends, if you and the other person go through REALLY bad, hard, and challenging times together (to the point where you don't know what's going to happen) and OVERCOME it, do you value the relationship more? do you feel closer to the person and feel that your relationship has grown more?

I'm not talking about "oh we had a fight" (for like a week), i'm talking where it's dramatic...it's those hard times you just go through (like a blessing in disguise) - a big misunderstanding...

and w. "relationships", i mean you guys had to have been really close, have a great connection, and there's that mutual respect and understanding to fix things

GUYS, i would really appreciate your input: if someone you were close friends with (and somehow along the way you "crossed the friendship border - had months of awkward and misunderstandings - very messy), and you both have that mutual respect to be okay again, would you feel closer to this girl?

Maybe, it would depend on the nature of the relationship in the first place. I suppose what the argument was about and how she acted would also play a part in how I felt about her afterward.

That's not a easy question to answer it depends on so much.I can only tell you what i went through and what it did to my relationship. I have been married for a little over 28 years and around 18 years into our marriage my husband cheated on me and it tore my world apart it's taken me years to try to put our marriage back together. It has made me a stronger person and a very cautious one. I did try with my husband and it's been very hard to look at him without wanting to smack the s h i t out of him. I'm over that now,i guess i put up with it out of love it's hard to say really why i did stay with him. Now that it's been 10 years later i can say it was the best decision i ever made because now i can say i love my husband and we get along better now then we ever did and our love will be there until the day i die.

Well hard times with anyone should strengthen your relationship. So yes. but if its a hard time between two people then it can be very damaging.

Absolutely.

Any couple, any relationship that has weathered a truly dark time is stronger for it.
