Ursius is the Latin name for Arthur. The name appears on a stela (a kind of small tower-like stone monument) by a lake in Ireland that was associated with Avalon. The stela is signed by “Ursius” and inscribed with a dedication to “The Lady of the Lake,” a Celtic goddess whose name is associated with Arthur and the Grail Legend.
