Would average US tax-payers be willing to pay the higher taxes for someone else's healthcare?

And also, what exactly does "healthcare" cover? Would it cover dermatolagist appointments and plastic surgeon fees?

Does anyone have any websites where I could get GOOD, UNBIASED opinions and facts of socialized healthcare?

Thank you. :)

Who do you trust more: a private HMO or the government

We already pay more for healthcare in this country than any other in the world even though there are over 40 million people who have no health insurance. We also pay for the uninsured through higher premiums on our own insurance plans. Many of us have spotty plans where insurers pick and choose which procedures are covered and which are not. We can lose our insurance at any time through job loss or being dropped due to illness. To be honest, I really can't see how having a socialized plan would be any more expensive than the incredibly patchwork and inefficient system we have right now.

I would suggest going to www.bbc.co.uk type in National Health Service in the search box, and go over some of the articles especially "Devon have your say."
It's simply common sense we will pay more in taxes, also why take on another entitlement we cannot afford. The only thing the the Social Security Trust fund are Government IOU's there is no money. The Social Security Taxes I am paying go directly to my dad and other people who get social security. Social Security. Socialized Health care is a terrible Idea we simply cannot afford it.
