There are four states of emotion: Happy, Sad, Indifferent and Mad. We tend to think that what we call Indifference is emotionlessness, but in reality, it is the emotion of pride (Indifferent-->aloof-->proud). It is a product of puberty, arising from the need in boys and girls for privacy, and results in a fear of being shut out. It also has to do with the basic need for shelter and concerns the phase which might be called "nesting" in the Reproductive Mandate. Builders--construction crews (or castle dwellers)--may best typify this emotional state. In any case, action=emotion, emotion=action.

The inability to feel pleasure is called anhedonia, but I don't know what you'd call someone with no feelings at all.
