stock market on computer, comparing mileage on car, calculating chance to win lottery with calculator, george bush thinking about raising the minimum wage, calculating mortgage on excel, calculating the power usage of various appliances such as a computer etc.

When you pay by US$20 bill for two tickets of US$2 you must know how much balance to get and what ever any vending machine gives to know whther it is giving the balance correctly. When you get a printed bill you want to check its accuracy.When the power supply is down and the bill is prepared manually how do you check it. You go as a tourist to another country where you have to buy for cash and they dont have computerised billing.
