Cheap paint is usually the most expensive kind. It is hard to apply, takes more coats, does not adhere properly, the color varies. Best thing to do is buy good paint on sale. Any national name brand will work, my favorite is Behr. Make sure you match the sheen (Flat, eggshell semi gloss etc.) against what you are painting. Don't buy cheap paint! it will cost you way too much!

With no offense meant at all; it pretty much depends on your definition of CHEAP and what you expect; beyond PRETTY; which is totally YOUR personal choice.

Without knowing where you live, you may have many options beyond the Big Box stores.

Many states offer assistance type outlets for people in need or the elderly, selling materials and supplies, often donated. You might locate a Habitat for Humanity thrift store? BIG LOTS/ Wal mart/ etc, also sell low end; off brand paint.

Mis-match returns are sold at the best of paint stores.

Since we don't know your plan,,,as in color,,, amount,,,etc. I suspect we have offered options.

I wish you well.

Spray Paint around $1 per can for cheapo stuff at Wal-Mart.

For non-spray, any "big box" store should have a few lines of paint or their "store brand. These are cheap, but I wouldn't use tehm on anything I care a whole lot about.

If you go to a home improvement store like Home Depot or Lowe's they usually have a section of paint that have been discounted because they were not a perfect match. I was at Home Depot last week and there were many colors to choose from and they were $5 for a gallon. Have fun painting!

Check you local listings to see if a contractor reject / overstock store is in your area. I bought a 5 gallon bucket of high quality paint for $10.

These stores not only have paint but doors, windows, handles, knobs, towel racks...anything!!
