k - 4 = 10 k = 14

-(k - 4) = 10 -k +4 = 10 k = -6

What minus 4 equals 10? Try adding 4 and 10. Then subtract 10 from that answer and you will come back to 4. What minus 4 equals 10? EX:
(k-4)=10
10+4=14
14-10=4
k=14

If |k-4| = 10, then the quantity (k - 4) can equal +10 or -10.
If k - 4 = 10, then
k = 10 + 4
k = 14

If k - 4 = -10, then
k = -10 + 4
k = -6

Therefore, k = 14 and -6. I assume you're looking for an answer in the form of a co-ordinate, which would be (14, 0) and (-10, 0).

The two lines around the question means that the answer will always be positive (means "absolute value"), which means your answer can either be positivie or negative. So, if K were 14, then 14-4=10. And if K were -6, then -6-4=-10. So your answer is {14 , -6}. Gives you the absolute value of 10.

ok (k - 4) = 10

ok all the time you see this proses in math you have to change the sign subtract into a add and if its add turn it into a subtract same withh division& multiplycation.

ok here is how ya do it
( k - 4 ) = 10
ok now ya have to change the subtract sign like this
( k + 4 ) = 10
now add 4 & 10
4 + 10 = 14
so your answer is
k = 14

( k - 4 ) = 10

answer is :k =14

if ya dont belive me try solving your own math problem like this

( 14 -4 ) = 10

try it your self

since k-4 is inside the absolute term then k-4 can have two results: a negative and a positive
(1) positive result of k-4: k-4 = 10
k=14

(2) negative result of k-4: k-4 = -10
k=-6

{14,-6}

Well, k-4 must equal either +10 or -10 in order for the equality to hold, since |-10| = |+10| = 10

That means k can either be 14 or -6.

It's 6.

You want to find the absolute value of -4, and that is 4. Then you do 10 - 4=6. Then your answer is 6.

Hey there!

In the equation |x|=y, it can be broken down to x=y or x=-y.

Here's the answer.

|k-4|=10 -->
k-4=10 or k-4=-10 -->
k=14 or k=-6

So the answers are k=14 or k=-6.

Hope it helps!
