Good question. You could go back to your school and speak with people in the job placement department if your school has one. Maybe even talk to employment agencies. Also, you could go out to the different engineering companies and see what happens. Or you could just start somewhere with a mediocre job and work your way up.

Think about going back for some "re-tread". Most fields in engineering have changed a lot in 5 years and your old studies may not be very relevant to current needs.
