There were the Keltoi or Celts of the mainland of Europe long before Scotland existed. My wife is a
Wallace by blood and would tell you the same.

First of, boyo, you do know that the Scots originally came from Ireland, right? Dal Riada came over from the Emerald Isle.
Secondly, Scotland was one of *several* Celtic nations, and that's if you only count the Celts once they settled - they swept through various parts of Europe, so you're not looking at just the UK. Even if you want to limit it to people who have the heritage from the UK, the diaspora is pretty large....
Third, the Celts had - and have - a long history of adoption. IIRC, there's a rather large group of Scottish Hindus who earned themselves a tartan a while back.

You're a Scotsman but you cannot even spell it? Pagan celtic tradition was wide spread across Europe anyway--to add to that, recent DNA studies have showed that the vast majority of people born in Britain (including England) have DNA markers going back to mesolithic times--far earlier than the celts. The celts just added to the bloodstock and the mythology.

The Celts included a number of people who shared the same language. Scotland is one of many places that ranged as far into Germany to England, to France etc .
So many people are also descended from the Celtic peoples, so why should the Celtic traditions be contained within border boundaries?

Are you a Scotsman though? This is the thing. You certainly couldn't spell Scotsman & your moniker is Mr Mom (not Mr Mum).
I am a Scotsman on the other hand & I don't see why people shouldn't be able to follow those beliefs if they want too. It doesn't matter where you were born. That's like saying nobody outside of the Holy Land should be a Christian, Muslim or Jew.
It doesn't stand up to scrutiny....sorry

Because they want to, they find those celtic ways attractive and perhaps their ancestors didn't have any pagan rituals that were as interesting.
If no one was allowed to use things or ideas that weren't in their 'heritage', we would all still be living in the bronze age.

as a descendant of all three slavic groups, should i be offended that everyone has adopted our vampire? many cultures had a vampire-type being in their folklore, but the slavs came up with the dracula, blood-sucking, can't-stand-sunlight, kill-it-with-a-stake vampire? get over it, other cultures have adopted our views of the vampire without knowing why you would use a stake or why it only came out at night, but i'm not freaking out over it.
