I am pretty sure it is a solution, but I am not positive.

I am not sure if it is NaHCo3. WE just saw a test tube with white stuff and the tube was labeled Baking Powder, NOT baking soda.

baking powder is a mixture. mixtures can look even throughout if all of the compounds are the same color (white in this case) and similar in particle size. baking powder consists of baking soda (a compound) and one or more acidifying salts (componds).

are you thinking of NaHCO3 becuase that what we used in my Chemistry class for chemical reaction test
