Monty Pythons the life of Brian is one of my favourite movies, it came out in 1979 and it caused quite a stir, however in today’s world of political correctness gone mad, do you think it would make it past the censors today?

probably not...but I do agree...it's an awesome movie. I have the dvds for that, the Holy Grail and the Meaning of Life.

It is the best British comedy film of all time. I don't think there would be a problem with the censors, but there is nobody with the wit or the nerve to make anything remotely like it.

I don't think it would have come out in this time.

People still have brains and passion but the media are better at convincing us that we don't, and so many people just take it to be true.

We get what we deserve.

The ingenuity about now will be on the net, thats why I'm on here and not at the cinema or watching TV.

I think it might well be banned in the USA. You can have as much gore and torture as you like, but the censors get very uptight about religious matters.

of course it would. Hollywood already has a lock on insulting Christianity and any movie without using Jesus name as a curse word is not considered 'hip'.

Yes It would cos it mocks Christianity, now if it were to mock Islam then that would be a different story

I think it would be shown but made to be "kid friendly". It would have every objectionable shot taken out and different words or phrases substituted for the originals. In other words, it would be made to become boring and sanitized.
