everyone on my list, if they dont reply for ages their status goes to idle, but when i dont reply for ages mine still says online.

and they say when they go back on they change to online and the idle goes

Yes, MSN has the ability to go on idle.

Go to "Options" then "personal". Once your there, look down and it should say - "Show me away as" and type in how long you wish to be shown as away.

You can also put auto-messages when your away, but you must download a MSN extension known as MSN Plus. You can also do a lot more with MSN Plus: Colour your personal messages, write scripts, put calendar notes etc.

ya, go to options>personal>
under My Status, you'll see
show me as "away" when i'm idle for __ minutes.

change it to like 5 or something

you can set it that way if you go to your msn options.
