Yes, it would be a huge explosion. We would be able to see the flash in the night sky and may even see the dust cloud on it's face.
You are talking 50 million tons of TNT which is a huge amount of explosive energy. It would also create a crater that would be visible with a pair of binoculars.
The moon is tidally locked with the earth so its orbital day equals its orbital period; a lunar year. There is a dark side of the moon because it never faces the earth. I am assuming that your explosion would take place on the lighted side so it could be seen.
If you detonated the bomb on the dark side then the flash would probably still be visible. Not brightly, but faintly. However, most of its energy would be shot out into space directly away from us.
The moon has almost no atmosphere so there is nothing to make it cloudy, except a meteor or comet collision or your atomic bomb. The cloud would remain in orbit around the moon for quite some time since they would only be 1/6th G to pull the dust back down to the lunar surface. The majority of the dust would be expelled into space.

If a 50 megatonne bomb was detonated on the moon we would have a meteor shower. So, yes we would be able to see it on earth.

yes you would be able to see it using a telescope as it would be a bit hard to see it with a normal eye.
