want to move old music files off an old packard bell desktop to transfer to another computer. i have 2 external hard drives and a usb drive - none will work - getting the message needs to search for drivers and these are plug and play devices. the computer doesn't recognize them and i have nothing (disk) to install them to the computer... would burn the music to CD's but there are about 400 files so too time consuming and there is no CD burner in this computer!! what can I do to get these files moved. I also have no internet connectivity but think i can hook up - just preferred not to.

Pop the drive out of the old computer and slap it in a newer one as a second drive, that supports all that stuff.

Ideally connect to the internet and allow the computer to search for the necessary drivers... alternatively purchase a crossover cable and connect the 2PCs together and transfer the files that way.
