I have never ever had milk go bad, it could be your fridge as several people have suggested, check the seal around the door too. My milk (2%) is icy cold when it comes out of the fridge and I only have the thermostat set at about 3.
There is nothing like a glass of icy cold milk - so good.

Don't use milk too often so only buy it in pint size bottles.
I remember living in New Hampshire back in the early 50's when the milkman delivered early morning and there was cream on the top of the glass bottles with cardboard stoppers. The milk would freeze in cold weather and the cream would come out of the top.

I did for a while but then I got a new thermostat put in my fridge and the problem disappeared. In any case milk seems to evaporate in our household as I've just re-discovered the delights of Ovaltine!

Yes, it spoils a lot faster. What really aggravates me is to get milk home (expiration date good) and when you open it is bad. We have been having the same problem with bread.

nope - it's gone before it has a chance to go bad. a gallon usually lasts me 3 days.
since the price of milk is higher than a gallon of gas, i make SURE it doesn't spoil.
i got sick on unpasteurized milk one time and it put me off milk for quite a while. still can't stand anything but 2%. whole milk is thick to me and 1% is like drinking colored water

Yes. But the higher fat content will last longer. But God is good. I have had some milk in the frige, in the summer, and it will be good, and past the expiration date, by more than a month! This has to be God!!!

Yes. And i think it has to do with the container it comes in. The thick glass jugs the milk used to come in seem to conserve the coolness better than those thin plastic containers.

How right you are! We transfer it into glass bottles and keep it on the bottom shelf where it's colder, and it still sours quickly. The skim sours faster than the 2%. Wonder why?

Maybe your fridge is expiring. Check the temp.
