Royal Oak Dondero Oaks. Seriously. The city is Royal Oak (suburb north of Detroit), named after all the oak trees. Our mascot was a freakin nut-an acorn ! It was hilarious. When the kid dressed as an acorn would run by the stands, he'd be showered with thousands of peanuts from the stands.

We were the Greyhounds. I guess we don't forget as the neurons must have been stronger then. I can remember some of the more trivial things from then easier than some of yesterday.
BTW, we might have a class reunion this year. I was good with the trivia at the last one.

Brooklyn Tech Engineers. I played part of two seasons. I quit the team after the guy from Midwood High that I tackled never got up and never could walk again. So much for football.

Our high school was the Panthers.
I bought a panther lamp/vase that I put on top of our TV. I put flowers in it and while we were watching, POOF! Blew a fuse. The vase leaked.
Well, so much for panther pride and sitting for a while.

MILFORD BUCCANEERS, Milford, Delaware. Our logo/insignia looked the same as the Pittsburgh Pirates. At least no one was 'offended' by our logo like some lame brains today INSIST they are.
