I gotta tell you....the first thing that came to mind was the old Hollies song "Hey, Carrie Ann, what's your game, now? Can anybody play?" Guess that means I really don't like it, huh? Seriously, I would have strong reservations about naming a boy Kerian. Hell, I don't even know how you are pronouncing it. He would always be explaining his name to others.

It's different. I've heard Kieran, Keiran, and Kiernan for boys but not Kerian. I pronounced it like Darian except with a "K"...I hope that's right.

I remember helping take care of a little boy by that name at a daycare center. Such a scared little boy. Small framed but strong. Would set in the care and look out the door waiting for his mom to come back. He was about a year old, but not two.

It's okay, but sounds too much like Karen, a girls name.

I think that is an awesome name! It is a good, solid name, too. I have a sister who is an Iowa Hawkeye Fan- As is her hubby, son, my brother-in-law, and a whole bunch of friends- season ticket holders. ANYHOO.......My sis got pregnant with her 2nd child. They were going to name the baby Kinnick if it was a boy. (Iowa Hawkeyes play in the Kinnick Stadium)- She was going to name the baby Audrey Marie if it was a girl- after our grandmothers. Guess what? She had a GIRL, and named her KINNICK NOEL- yea, close to Christmas baby. The Hawkeye Stadium over rode our dear deceased gmas- LOL! BUT, the name really did grow on us, and I couldn't think of a better name for my sweet niece now. I LOVE the name you've chosen. I have a LARGE family- We have Graden Kale- Lane Houston- Ashton Maray- Chasen Hunter- Cutler James (I call him CJ)- Ryder William- and again, I couldn't think of better names for my little nieces and nephews. It is a parent's choice to name their children, and I love the one you chose. In fact, you deserve a star. I have a friend that has kids named Sundance and Fawn. They are adults now. People thought it so AWFUL @ first, but, you know, the name grows on people. GOOD NAME- Congratulations- Take care and good luck!

I think young Kerian will spend much of his childhood getting beaten up on the playground.

Kinda sounds like Keri-anne. A bit too feminine for my taste.

I would normally like this name, but given the current popularity and similarity of the girl's name Keira, I'd bypass it.
