let me restate the question. the house i live in is his and my moms and she says i dont have to take the lock off of the door. i pay for his house phone, his tv, and his food, and give him money to pay his alamony so he doenst go to jail.. how do you make an 84 yr old man understand that if he invades your space, your going to mace him? my grandfather want me to take a lock off of my bedroom door, and i told him i dont give a damn what he wants, then he says he will take it off him self. then i say anyone who tries to break in my room will get a face full of mace. i dont think he understands how much nobody like him right now, example his own kid wont even come and visit him, they only come over when they need money or something. and that if he tries to get in my room he will get a face full of mace or worse. any one have any ideas on how to make him understand or should i just mace him. and say try it again and i will mace you again? i need answers asap.

Mace? Forget that. Get a gun and make sure he knows you have it.

Are you old enough and financially able to get your own place? If yes to the first and no to the second, do like his kids and borrow some money, get your place, pay him back, and lock whatever you want and whenever you want. Looks like you're headed out anyway--especially if you mace him.

This is very important, so listen carefully: if you spray mace in your grandfather's face, you're committing both assault and battery.
You can be taken to jail, and if you're found guilty, you can be sent to prison.
You live in someone else's home. You should sit down with your mom and your grandfather and come to an understanding.
Don't commit crimes just to prove you think you're right. In this case, you're not.

don't spray him with mace..... he's ur grandfather, no matter how mean he is..... U could go to jail for that.... I understand that u pay every thing for him and u must work ur butt off to do that.... but u dont want to go to jail..... tell him that if he breaks into ur room that u will stop paying for his stuff..... i hope this helped some b/c i dont want u to hurt him, or get hurt by him.....
