My dear young ones, I would say or advice you to look for yard work or babysitting for now, till you are 15 when you can get or apply for a real job. This is life there is nothing you can do about it than to endure till you are 15. Have a nice week ahead.

I'm 14 and I'm looking for a job. I live in the US, so I don't know if this applies... Here we can get jobs starting at 12. Once you hit 14 you can work in more of a varity of places.
Search "Child labor laws in the UK" on google or something.

where do you live?
some states have companies that hire at that age...but you know what....it's school season and they ,majority of the time, don't hire 14 year olds...in the summer time they are legally allowed to, depending on the company...in the south there is publix [grocery store] and they do that...but they hire them only in the summer...they hire 15 year olds a lot to be baggers and such...

It has to be part time in most states!
You might try hostess at a restruant, although for many of those you might have to be 16. Table bus-er person also might be a chance and it is a foot in the door.
You might also check local businesses, especially if they have a busy season (flower shop and valentines, or stores and Christmas). They might want the extra hands.
Good luck.

I you live in the UK- you can't get a proper job. I wanted one at 14- but never found one.
Now I'm 16- but still in full-time education- so don't really have time for one.

In most countries (US and UK included), you can't be employed prior to your 16th birthday.
I'd suggest you do some (unpaid) volunteer work, as this will look good when you apply for that McDonalds job. Besides, you'll be working for a good cause.
