Any word can be poetic if you use it correctly. If you're doing a "dream sequence", it could be "cellar door" (yes, I watched Donnie Darko too). Really, dreams are surrealistic anyway, just write what you "feel", don't provide a laundry list of images or poetic words...because "all" words can be poetic, it's how you put them together that matters. Do the words roll off your tongue, does the phrase echo in your mind? Just write your poem and let the words come. You can always go back and tinker with it by refining ideas, images and word combinations. Don't find words and then try to tie them together or you'll end up with something hideous and contrived.

It isn't words but phrasing and the sound and meter,
That make a poem paint and sing and rival theater.
