I used to work in a bar.....if someone approaches me PROPERLY now, it makes me think they are really a closet weirdo. I think everyone is odd.

I was a nurse working in the teen unit of a psychiatric ward of a hospital. One of the teens liked to hang around the nurse's station and I would tell him he needed to be in the dayroom.
One night, when the shift ended, the boy was waiting at the back door. He grabbed me and tried to kiss me. Not only was he way too young, he was a patient and that's a big no no. After he was discharged he would wait for me outside. It got to be really scarey.

Not really. Though, my male step cousin of the same age kind of flirted with me. It was kind of gross because he is not super hygenic and doesn't take care of himself. One time he threw a woodchip at my eye and asked if he could kiss it. I was like "NO!" Then other times he was all like, "Can I have a hug?!" After I told him no, he just came up to me and squeezed me really hard around my bust. It was really gross. I dealt with it by telling him that I had a boyfriend even though I didn't. He kind of stopped then. Though, he made fun of him a lot when I "described" some fake dude.

I would usually find some sort of combination of statistical and anecdotal evidence that would substantiate my validity and disprove whatever incorrect notion the person in question may have. If the person continues to insist that he/she is right, despite all logical evidence to indicate otherwise, I will normally just set my ego aside and attempt to pursue a different topic of conversation.

If you mean - approach you as in wanting to date? I have had students (male) speak to me in an inappropriate way (just being fresh), but I know how to respond to them and quickly nipped any such thing in the bud quickly.

There was a younger man who approached me 7 years ago as a barber who was cutting my hair and though I had no immediate attraction to him, found that much later, he was my soul mate and seven years later - we are still together! lol

some guy in my vertebrate zoology class who smelled like cigarettes and fart. He was a wannabe myth chaser who believed in bigfoot and talked about his future discovery of this animal.... and argued the living existence of other mythological creatures. I got engaged to another guy and told him to go away. ... but he was pretty relentless.

Someone close to 70, probably, I helped him at work and he got my name, then called me the next day to ask me out (?!) I said I was married and didn't date. Hard to argue with that...ballsy guy though, you have to give it to him!

All the time. Sometimes I try to tactfully correct them. It depends what it is. If it's really important, then I want to help them get their facts straight.
