I used Naval Jelly and now my wrought iron pieces are white.?

I used it like the bottle said. Is it just that I didn't get it all off? What can I do because I want the rustic look, not the all black spray painted look?

I empathize with you in the suggestion of spray paint, although a matte finish black is the usual; and certainly answer number one offers a valid suggestion; but what I'm curious about is how you define "rustic". In my world uncoated/untreated Wrought iron in a rustic form would equate to a "RUSTY" form

Hose the residual off with water. A steel brush would also work.
