Untilthere is an actual court order spelling out all the details, Dad does not actually have to pay her anything legally. What he is doing is purely out of the goodness of his heart and being a responsible parent

600 over two months is not a lot of money. But he should be giving her money orders or cashiers checks and holding the receipts until divorce proceedings. Helping your ex to survive is not uncommon. Sometimes after court makes a decision things can actually be a lot more expensive than that. Depending on situation.

He doesn't have to give her a dime unless the judge who does the divorce orders it after the divorce is final.

oh wow, this is tricky okay...so they are separated, but not divorced...hmm and your mom hasn't applied for spouse support, if your under 18 then she may, if your living with your mom and if your not living with your mom and living with your dad, then your mom is the one who is suppose to pay your dad...more info and i can give you a better answer...
oh okay so your 21, okay then why is your dad paying your mom..i mean unless your mom applied for spousal support, then i doubt it..but check this website out.

its like this, and I have thought about it a lot too
if he isn't getting any, just don't accumulate things for her to take later in the relationship
if he is gettin some, then he should work and get a house and a car and vacations, etc., and even some security for her in the form of things she could steal when they split

I don't know how old you are, but I don't think children of any age should have to worry about their parents' finances. This is between your mother and father. Let them figure it out

Its up to him, he didn't have to give her anything until a judge told him to. It seems like she's angry and wants to punish him. maybe he deserves it maybe he don't.
