Several possibilities.
I find it hard to believe that are guilty of MURDER. They seem loving parents to me. They are however human. Accidental death very possible. One possibility no one has mentioned. WHAT IF.... what if the Portuguese police suspect someone else and are playing a game with McCanns PRETENDING to suspect them so the really guilty party is tricked in revealing himself as the killer ? Can this perhaps explain why Murat is still a suspect ('arguido')? It makes no sense having practically found the McCanns guilty ("official arguidos") but not rush to exonerate the "poor" Murat !!
ON the other hand (this is fascinating, LOL) could it be that Murat was the one who got rid of the body for the McCanns ?

Guilty of child neglect. Possibly guilty of accidental death / Manslaughter .I don't know for sure I would like to think that Kate is right about Maddie being alive ,a mother can sometimes feel things like this .What about the twins,though they are now living in a vacuam of uncertainty.Surely The McCanns should let the Twins go back to England with the relatives.Red Chrome pointed something out about Robert Murat.Interesting though, A spratt to catch a mackerel.

The Portugese Police may just want to close the books on the issue. Problem solved if you can achieve a deal whether guilty or not. A wicked world but these are the facts.

GUILTY! From the start, you can see that they are telling a pack of lies whenever they are being interviewed. They have accidentally killed Madeline and tried to cover it up, which until now have done a good job. If they are found guilty they will be one of the most hated people in the UK.

Child neglect, murder axxidental or otherwise.
I along with a few others have said this from the start. but got slaughtered on here for it.
There just something about those two. I never seen them cry yet and she still go gym and putting on her make up as she di the day following the disapearance

I guess I would have to see all the evidence placed against them, so I don't know. If I were to assume on what Ive seen the past 4 months, I'd say guilty.

If undecided was'nt an acceptable answer my instincts would say guilty. And Id put my life on them being guilty of neglect. If they did'nt kill madeline they only have themselves to blame. Dont have three kids if u want to leave them in a room in a different country!!! I wouldnt trust these doctors with a routine check up!

Guilty. 1) Two million dollars raised. 2) if they over-sedated her so they could party, it would have ruined their careers as doctors.
