i dont know what kN stands for but im pretty sure N stands for newtons

Will be kilo Newtons ie 1000 Newtons
9.5 kN = 9500 Newtons

kN means kilonewton. Just as a kilogram is 1000 grams, one kilonewton is 1000 newtons.

9.5 kN * (1000N/1kN) = 9500 N

The k probably refers to kilo in which case you multiply by 1000.

k might be kilo-- therefore 9.5kN=9.5kN*1000 N/1kN=

9500N
