I like the end of the movie when Gloria Swanson is ready for her close up. I imitated this scene in one of our home video movies. It was a hoot!!

One of the all time greatest of the film noir genre. Excellent movie...yes, when I can, I watch it.

I have watched it twice. It is really sad to me. A silent film star who is no longer known. I have tried to figure out who that was, other than the person who actually played the role, Gloria Swanson.
I have to confess it is not one of my favorite movies. It is supposed to be a great film but I just never cared for it much.

GREAT FILM! i watch it every time it comes on. her face at the end during the close up is the epitome of the word "creepy".
