9/11 conspiracy?

Question

Is the main reason people conclude that the U.S. Government was behind the WTC attacks on 9/11 based on the thought that, "somethings not right, these things aren't suppose to happen or it doesn't make sense?"

From my understanding, terrorism and terrorists attacks never make sense. By the very definition of terrorism, it causes disruption and fear...which is exactly what 9/11 did.

So are 9/11 conspiracy theorists basing their conclusion that the U.S. Government caused/created this simply because, "it doesn't make sense?"

Of course it doesn't make sense. It's a terrorist attack. Acts like this are not suppose to be understood when you live in a free society that have laws protecting life and a constitution that grants inalienable rights, such as the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Richard; I understand your reasoning, but he said, "I believe it was an explosion from a bomb." It does not necessarily mean it was simply because he believes it.

Everyone keeps claiming all these eye witness accounts that bombs were being detonated but no one can account for seeing explosives there. It makes no sense. I would imagine it takes a fair amount of explosives to compromise the structure of a building that large.

Watch this interview of WTC head janitor William Rodriquez.
He got praised by President Bush for saving lives, but when he mentioned explosions in the WTC basements BEFORE the planes crashed he was disappeared from the mainsteam media because it didn't fit in with the official story.

Phillip Zelikow was the author of the final draft of the 2002 National Security Statement detailing the doctrine of "premptive wars."
In 2004 he was appointed director of the 9/11 Commission investigation. As director he set the agenda for what would be investigated and what would not. Zelikow also had the final word on what would be in the 9/11 Commission Final Report.

EDIT #2-"It does not necessarily mean it was simply because he believes it." I've heard his testimony that he and a dozen others were in a sub basement and the explosion was so powerful it pushed them up in the air and the sprinklers came on. Other workers were seen with the skin peeled off their face and arms. (This is before the impact of the Jetliner!) This has been corrobarated by others.

Nobody, even the commissioners themselves believe that the 9/11 commission was truthful. You can research that yourself. Also to reassure yourself that a 757 hit the Pentagon, try and find a video of that happening. -if you believe that none exists, then I guess you'd believe anything. So if one does exist, why are we not shown it? but simply five frames showing a small fireball, and that fireball very much smaller than we know happens when a full sized plane slams into a wall. I can see you've decided that you will do the best you can to believe the official conspiracy theory, that's how I started off, I wanted to completely discredit any idea that the Towers were demolished, etc. But unfortunately, for my peace of mind, I am not quite stupid enough.

Why is Saddam Hussein dead and Osama Bin Laden alive? I am by no means a conspiracy theorist but it begs the question. After the 9/11 attacks, how did Bin laden get away but Saddam who was not involved, end up dead.

Why did we safely escort Bin Ladens family out the U.S.? If all 19 of the 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia what was King Abdullahs responsibility for having harbored terrorists? We marched into Afghanistan, why not Saudi Arabia? The Bush family has never hid the fact that they are old friends with King Abdullah. What about our country's relationship with Osama Bin Laden?

Our relationship with Saddam had expired and we see the result of that. During the Iraq-Iran wars, we armed Saddam so he could fight the Ayatollah Khomeini.

I almost hate the questions that have formed in my head since 9/11 but we have to ask questions and not take for granted that our governments interests are necessarily ours.

I haven't reached the conclusion that the U.S. caused the 9/11 attacks, but I can't help to view our government's role as duplicitous. They are so beholding to so many "bad guys" that it is near impossible for them to be a proper advocate for the American people.

Glen, people like us are blessed with superior intellect. (placating for points)

We know that corruption does exist in the highest reaches of Government and Industry. But we also understand that all the evidence must translate to facts supporting the theory. When they do we can then CONVICT the bastards.

However, conspiracy theorists only choose the evidence that support their theory. Facts are often irrelevant and often manufactured. Evidence to the contrary is disregarded as part of the conspiracy.

The earmark of their position is that they do not actually have any but pre-drawn conclusions.

Honestly if you think we in the political categories of Y!A with our conspiracy theories are messed up you should read the spiritual/religion section.

Those people are really messed up.

Why do think after 911 they immediately came out with the "Patriot Act", which has done a number on our constitutional liberties, and the "Department of Fatherland Security"? Could it be "Problem, reaction ,solution"?

I know you didn't like my other answer to your question, I'll try again.

The 9/11 Commission report has so many holes in it that it looks like a block of Swiss cheese!

I was glued to my set from 9am that Tuesday morning until around 11pm on Wednesday.

I taped it all.

There were 100's of people that said bombs were going off in the towers and 100's of people including on the ground tv reporters that said a missile and not a plane hit the Pentagon.

All the White House would have to do to quiet many dissenters is release the video recordings from the multitude of videos they confiscated from businesses surrounding the Pentagon.

But they won't because the truth is hard to refute. It was a missile.

Glen, there are 1000's of fire fighters and first responders and eyewitnesses who have publicly said that they heard bombs going off in the WTC. Larry Silverstein has stated publicly they 'pulled the building'!!

The U.S. Government is behind 911!
There is a lot of evidence which supports the conclusion that 911 is an inside job. There are a number of 911 websites which a person can go to in order to read that information.
What doesn't make sense? The tradegy of 911?... Or The Government's explanation of it? Those who say that it doesn't make sense are refering to the government's explanation of what happened... not the tradegy itself! There are many questions that need to be addressed!

Payne Steward's, a golfer, airplne was off course 20 min. in U.S. Airspace when fighters were sent up to observe and possible shot down his plane. They folowed it till it crashed the plane had lost oxygen somehow.
4 Passenager Jets were highjacked and cruised around for over 2 hours in U.S. AIRSPACE and only 12 min. before the crash into the Pentagon was any scrambled into the air about the same time the planes hit the world trade center.
