Sure, but why would you want to, a power line? Anyway, just cut it to the height you want and remove new growth as needed. RScott

Well, yes but it will disfigure the tree and need to be repeated yearly.

Douglas fir is one of the tallest conifers, naturally reaching 150 to 300 ft high. If the trees are planted in an area where that height is too much, you should remove them and plant something else. It is always easier to plant a tree that natually grows to the size you want, rather than constantly fight to keep it small.

You can prune it but it will look ugly. If the tree is too big where it is its the wrong tree for that area
Selection of trees need a lot of thinking and research esp mature size. Alot of nurseries put a height on the tag, but this is often the approx height at 10 yrs
