A laptop/notebook cooler or cooler pad, is an accessory for laptop computers that helps reduce their operating temperature. Normally used when the laptop's fan device is unable to sufficiently cool the laptop, a cooling pad houses its own fans (usually 2 or 3) and rests beneath the laptop.
Unfortunately adding additional power requirements to a laptop that is overheating is self defeating as additional heat is generated by the internal power supply due to the additional load. Unless the fans are supplied with power from an external source which does not add to the current load.
Get one!!!

Oh for pete's sake! What's he in training pants? Very immature and might I add a very filthy thing to do all over the darn place. Do you know that is how infections are spread? His hands are all over his business and then he can handle his keyboard and food etc. Does he wash his hands afterwards? I am guessing he does not. If a man doesn't wash his hands after he urinates and then handles food, he can pass around a nasty staff infection to everyone who eats it. Did you know that? By the way, same goes for females except they usually do wash their hands. Geez! Tell him it's disgusting and if he doesn't stop, get someone more mature, or at least one who knows better. Good Luck!

Laptops are a pain in the rear to upgrade, the parts cost more and are more trickly to install. Perhaps find someone computer literate you can take it to, maybe they can nip the back of it for you and help further?
If you like playing games and need to use a laptop, there is nothing you can do without a fat wedge of cash :(

Hi. I use a wooden cutting board to insulate my lap and to keep things ventilated when on a soft surface like a bed.
