Hi,

The iPhone relies on web browser technologies to run "applications" in Safari web browser.

Google is at the forefront of building web applications that have Word Processing, SpreadSheet, and Presentation capabilities.

Apple has been providing developers with a lot of support to help them make applications for the web and particularly for iPhones and the new web iPod.

I'm sure you'll see more and more about this in the next few months, and especially at MacWorld on January 15.
