Halloween started out as a pagan holiday but I guess some christians celebrate it too. I dont know why, but they do. Weird society, I am going to be a major dork and dress up like a chicken with my three year old daughter as a baby chicken. It'll be fun

I'm a christian and my family doesn't necessarily celebrate it by throwing parties and stuff but we always give out candy. We think its a KIDS day to go out and get candy. Its fun for them and they aren't concerned about the religious things only about the candy! When I was little we went trick or treating but always dressed in pleasant costumes. I don't think parents should strip a child of their fun...What if it was dress up and go get candy from your neighbors day...Would it be any different?

Our church usually opens the fellowship hall for Halloween. This give the kids a place to come for drinks and candy and safety. They also get info on the church and more. We are there for them and show how Cristian's can also be fun.
They rush in and love it, We don't use things such as Satan or terrible evil things, just spiders or things like that. Usually just simple mask that isn't scary. Makes it easier for kids to not be afraid and feel good in the church too. They put church info in their candy bags too.

yup! i dont see anything wrong with celebrating halloween. it is a day to be creative, and have fun. just because some say it's a bad holiday doesnt mean it is. it's what you make of it,and how you actions portray you. so this year i'll probally dress up,and if it happens to be a witch or a scarecrow, it will not change my beliefs! great question!!!!
