Why would Social Conservatives support Fred Thompson?

He is divorced and has lobbied for abortion rights. Are social conservatives that willing to sell out their principles?

They support anyone that Fox News tells them to. Records have no meaning to them. They simply hear and see whatever is presented them on stage and only care about what was stated in a speech.

You must be that one person living in the proverbial "glass house". So what if people are divorced....some of the nicest people I know are! Abortion, I think, should be a "female only" issue. I am a social Conservative and I won't sell my principles for all the tea in China!

I'm a fiscal conservative.
I don't believe in things like foreign aid, "nation building", "Nafta", the "U.N.", anything with the words "Global" or "World" in it and a lot of other things that OUR money gets wasted on.
If you want to smoke pot or smoke a penis, have three wives or husbands that's (your) business not mine.
I don't care what you do in your own time.
What will stop Thompson is any weakness on illegal aliens, closing that border or any perceived "Globalism" on his part.
He needs to be talking about getting us out of Nafta, Gatt, the "U.N." and all these one-way "trade" deals.
If he likes women fine, that's his business.
I didn't care about Clinton getting a BJ, it was the lieing under Oath that was wrong and he was Impeached in disgrace for it.
Thompson is going to have to play "catch-up" with Mitt Romney from what I can see and unbelievably, Ron Paul's numbers are going up so (he) must be saying something that people like.

Social conservatives will only support Fred Thompson if they decide that he is going to win. My expectation is that by November, most evangelicals will be supporting Governor Huckabee or Senator Brownback -- the only true social conservatives running.

Thompson was feeding Nixon information from the Federal Prosecutor (a crime) and told Nixon that he had the tapes. Thompson was on the Committee investigating Watergate!

Thompson was coached by Nixon's lawyer as to what questions to ask as Nixon referred to Thompson as "Dumb"!

Now there is a candidate that falls into the mold that Republicans should support! Corrupt!

Why would true liberals vote for Hillary? After all she voted to authorize the war. Sometimes you can't get everything you want in a candidate, so sometimes you have to settle for what's there.

Yeah and besides his wife is young enough to be his Granddaughter and he himself quoted, "The women chase me and I chase the women, mostly they chase me" URP, URP, chase that old long tall bald headed ugly old man, no way.
