i don't know if i'm having "fertile" cm or not. and i'm scared.

i am due to ovulate tomorrow, so i started checking my cm and cp on wednesday. on wednesday i noticed my cervix was soft, high, open and wet. i had this very large amount of gummy cm. it was stretchy. thursday, same thing. my opks were negative both days.

yesterday, i noticed a SMALL amount of ewcm and my opk was positive. today, i have just watery cm and another positive opk.

what's wrong? shouldn't i have lots of ewcm to get pregnant? what could be the reason i dont?

Some women don't have huge amounts of CM, it's normal. As long as there is at least a little watery or eggwhite CM then that is plenty for the sperm to swim through. Also, since you got a pos opk yesterday then you will ovulate 12-48hrs after the first pos--so today or tomorrow.

Some things you can do to help thin out your CM in future cycles are: drink lots of water, drink green tea, stay away from allergy meds and benadryl, and try robitussin-- http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/cm.html

Hi there,

Okay... breathe :)

A small amount of EWCM is perfectly acceptable. Remember... fertile CM originates in the cervix. Sometimes it stays up there and women don't see it even though it's there. Watery CM is also considered fertile, so you seem to be in very good shape here.

A positive OPK + watery CM or small amount of EWCM = time to do the baby dance!

Since today was your first OPK positive, have sex today and every day for the next 3 days.

Good luck!!
