xanthic = 'tending toward a yellow color'
xanthous ='yellow; specifically of or pertaining to those races of man which have yellowish, red, auburn, or brown hair'
xenic = 'foreign'
xenophobic = 'fearing foreigners/strangers'
xeric = 'living in a dry habitat'
xerotic = '(abnormally) dry'
xerophilous ='drought-loving; able withstand the absence or lack of moisture'
xerophthalmic = 'having abnormally dry eyes'
xerothermic = 'able to flourish in an environment that is both dry and hot'
(Others, like "xylographic", could hardly be used to describe a PERSON.)

RE: Adjectives starting with x? I have to do an acrostic poem for an assignment. And my name is Alex, so I've always had a hard time with these because I can't think of a descriptive word that starts with x. I can't use stuff like "xcting" or "xuberant". They have to be spelled correctly. So I need adjectives starting with x....

Xenophobic means afraid of or prejudiced against foreigners. That's the only one I can think of for people.
Xeric applys more to plants. It means drought tolernant.
