I have a mole in my yard right now, actually. I do know they love to eat grubs, so if you have a garden, they are attracted to the amount of grubs in the garden, under the garden and under the yard surrounding the garden.

Food source. Grubs are a favorite of moles. Get a product that kills grubs and the moles will leave to find another yard with better "meals".
