I'm having a heck of a time trying to find a place to get a replaceable mattress for my king size waterbed. I want a regular mattress...get rid of the water. And I think the size would be a California King....that's what the measurements come out to anyway. Can't find anything anywhere!! HELP!!!!

I decided to switch after many years of waterbed use. I ended up getting an air mattress. The size is a little small but it works well since I am not over 6 foot tall. Coleman sell one that is actually two twins that sit next to each other in the frame. I stuffed the end with a blanket so the mattresses don't move around.

Most waterbeds in king size are California king meaning 72 X 84. Eastern King is 78 X 80. I have been in the furniture business for years and have not seen very many eastern king waterbeds. But I have seen quite a few California King innerspring Matts. I hope this helps.

you might have to have a mattress custom made to get exact fit inside a waterbed frame. regular beds are shorter and narrower that waterbeds. myself i prefer the waterbed over a mattress for several reasons and recently bought a new waveless waterbed mattress i am very happy with. but i`m not you. there is a place in charlotte nc called the origional mattress co. that makes custom beds. maybe they can help you.
