Can I get a divorce in Texas is I'm still living with my wife and we are still having "relations"?

Question

I'm going to ask a lawyer next week, but they don't always know everything so I want to see if any of you Yahoos know the answer. Remember this is for Texas. Before you ask why would I want to do that, my wife is a very bad girl, but she doesn't want to leave and she's still a good piece of a**. Plus she's had her tubes tied.

Thanks, I hope you're right. As far as the marital assets, she's already got more than half in her separate account, so that's really the point. I can stop her from getting half of what I make in the future, plus I can get out of our apartment lease next May.

I think, the way you talk, that she will still be your woman, divorce or no.

As far as getting the divorce goes, sure, you can get divorced and never have budged an inch. Then you'll just be living with her. And she'll own half of the marital assests.

No, you can not have "relations" with your wife if you file for divorce from her. That will only make the filings null and void, in the paperwork it even stays you must cease all relations, and if you sign those papers as stated and you continue to have relations you CAN be held on contempt charges, fined, jailed or both by the court.

I'm sure you can, but it seems to me you'd be wasting the time and money on a lawyer for this. If you're still having relations with her, and still living under the same roof with her, she can't be that bad.
