My fav. kitchen appliance is the elec. frying pan. You can take a tough piece of meat, add water, maybe some worewishire sauce, onion, carrots and let it cook 350 for about..... 2 or 3 hours depending on the size of the meat and it comes out sooooo tender, you can cut it with a fork. Keep adding water and just let it go. Enjoy! Oh, another thing good in the elec. frying pan. Hot Italian sausages, potatoes, onion, can of mushrooms and water, cook 250 for..... about an hour and a half, until potatoes are tender and sausage 'done'.

I made up this killer casserole when I first got married...
Chili-Cheese Potato Casserole
2 cups of shredded cheese (I use cheddar)
4-6 potatos- pealed or scrubbed, then sliced THIN
1 can each of chili and cream of ____ soup (I use mushroom)
Mix the two cans of stuff together, then fold in 1 cup of the cheese. Next, fold in the potatos (cuz stiring doesn't really work so well).
Dump the whole thing into a 9x13 pan and top with the remaining cheese. Cover with foil (I spray the underside with cooking spray so the cheese won't stick), and bake at 350F for 90 minutes or till the potatos are all cooked.
(During that 90 minutes, do what you want.. Watch some TV, take a shower, clean the house, take a nap, make an extravagant side dish or desert...)
At the end of the 90 minutes, take the foil off, turn the oven off, and return the pan to the oven. Set the table, heat up your vegie, then pull the potatoes out, and Ta-Daaa!!!

One of the neat things about me is that I can cook up a fabulous meal with whatever is on hand. Seriously, I can dig through the pantry and make something up most every time.

Spaghetti a la carbonarra. It is spaghetti in olive oil sauce with garlic and eggs cooked into it and bacon mixed in. It's topped with parsley. This is my FAVORITE meal.

Well, I'm making chili now. Love to make beef roasts, baked macaroni and cheese, mostly good down-home cooking!
