I just found out I was pregnant yesterday, for those who are wondering, so I have a while to pick out his or her name. My husband and my first child's name is Allie Rose (I put Rose on the list just to see how people like it as a first name).

As you can see, we have quite a lot of name here to work with. We both added our favorite names and are slowely eliminating names until we A) find out the gender of our baby and B) chose a name =]
Thanks for helping in our process of elimination.
For now, the following names have been eliminated due to responses from this thread and continuous thought on the subject.
Eliminated names:
Rose, obviously, as we can't have both daughters named Rose!

My husband and I completely dislike the name Liam (as in, short for William), just to let you know =]

Also, the following names have also been eliminated based on my mother-in-law's opinions:

I recently saw the name Cadie, and loved that name. My husband and I loved Katie, but it was wayyy to popular for us. I think that Cadie is beautiful and gives a certain individuality that Katie doesn't give.
So please, mentally add Cadie to the above list =]

Also, Colette has been discarded. For all of those who are wondering, it is Coe-let, not Coll-let.

Based on further consideration, my husband and I have eliminated the following names:

Lilly Elizabeth - love it. Lily is getting popular but it's such a sweet name and Elizabeth is a perfect compliment for it.
Natalie - cute but not my fave
Rose - I like this better as a middle name
Jennifer - It was so popular in the 80s that I'm still kinda over it. Too many already
Avery Clara (Claire-uh, not Clar-uh) - really unique and pretty. It's surprising and I like it.
Melanie - I've always liked this name. Cute.
Taylor - I like this name. Could be for a boy or girl. Cute as a first or middle name
Sarah Francis - I don't like this...Francis is not a good name
Gabrielle (Gabby, Abby, Ellie) - I love it! The name AND the nicknames are both amazing

Laura, Laurie - eh? alright I guess
