i guess they dont appreciate the love from a cute cuddly puppy! *starts to wonder about some people*.....

Maybe not afraid, maybe more of uncomfortable. There are people who don't like being touched. And also it depends on how you hug them...you have to be sensitive about these because you may not realize but some people may already take offense and may feel like they are being harassed by a simple hug.

It's because in some families they don't hug, they don't even touch each other. When faced with a person wanting or giving a hug they just freeze up.

I don't know. It would be kinda hard to hug someone through a computer screen. If you're having trouble with that in real life, some people are not the touchy feely type.
